Is insurance-approved bimax ever a good idea?

Option 1: Go to a local US maxillofacial surgeon and try to get trimax covered by insurance. Then after a few years go abroad to get titanium implants in my skull.

Option 2: Save up money for a few years and go abroad to get trimax and implants done in one go, all out of pocket.

Is it seriously that bad to get bimax through insurance with a surgeon no one talks about on the forums? Like I probably need 15mm of advancement and a big downgraft of both jaws so a conservative or “functional” surgery would be a waste. There’s no doubt, I need an aesthetic result. But it’s still no joke spending $20,000 just on the osteotomies with some famous blackpilled surgeon. I’d appreciate anyone with experiences on this matter or anyone who knows others who dealt with this choice. Also I’ll pm you how bad my jaw is if you can help me decide

how about you use your brain instead of your ass

its not so simple as
insurance bimax = shit esthetic outcome
private bimax = good esthetic outcome

get a plan from an insurance surgeon and a few private ones and then choose based on what plan you think is the best for both function and aesthetics, you can even show the plan from the insurance surgeon to a private one and go over it

rejecting an entire group of surgeons before you even try to speak for them for the first time has to be the most retarded mindset ive ever seen in my life, its a miracle you managed to live for this long

Haha kinda true
But also I can feel why someone would ask that
But it’s true not mentioning a Dr and just a country should result in natural selection by Sunil asap

Most ''good'' bimax results are just normies who got it via insurance or free from their government from local surgeons, why you would ever pay out of pocket to go to a ''blackpilled'' surgeon when you have decent surgeons around and can get it totally free is beyond me.
