There was no widespread information because ascending was simply the norm whether you was ugly or chad. You didn't even need to looksmax. The bar was lower. More and more men need to do surgery now to ascend, but that was never the case before.

well, life was definitely better in the early 2000's but specifically for ascending there has never been more resources available.

WOmen didn't care about looks (as much) 25 years ago. They didn't endlessly doomscroll insta and have chads lining up for them. The bar for being good looking was a lot lower.
