Is it normal for friends to call eachother ugly?

Im with my buddies at school and suddenly i get called ugly for no reason.Its like they all attack one person in the group at once,we are all victims but i feel they have a little bit more fun making fun of me
I try not to react because it doesnt really affect me when someone who’s not educated in this stuff comments on looks and such but today was different,it took a toll on me
This only happens between my friends and other boys from school,i never got a comment on my looks in a bad way from a girl
I just need to know if this is normal behaviour between friends and if i should mind it or not
