Is it normal to like seeing other people struggling or being sad

I think its sadistic but sometimes i enjoy seeing other people sad,crying or seeing them having big arguments.

I had this thought yesterday and looked it up cos my friend thought he got a bad grade at uni overall, but it turns out he just failed one module and if he redoes the assignment and passes he gets a better overall grade. So I was disappointed to find this out. But it's normal
