Yes, you can get it for cosmetic reasons.Would any good surgeons actually perform this purely for aesthetics, or is a standard lf1 the only option?
i have a recessed paranasal area so a standard lf1 wouldnt work for that, i would also be getting infra implants so i think the result would be goodYes, you can get it for cosmetic reasons.
Some surgeons argue the result isn’t very aesthetic though.
No, you can’t get Quadrangular + infraorbital implants because the plates fixating the advancement will be too high up the maxilla.i have a recessed paranasal area so a standard lf1 wouldnt work for that, i would also be getting infra implants so i think the result would be good
oh i see, would it even be needed tho? fat grafting would probably be good enough unless giga recessed rightNo, you can’t get Quadrangular + infra orbital implants because the plates fixating the advancement will be too high up the maxilla.
That was what a surgeon told me during consultation. I suppose it would be possible to get the plates removed post op, then get infraorbital implants.oh i see, would it even be needed tho?
Alternatively, you could get an intermediate cut which advances the paranasal area and wouldn’t prevent you from getting infraorbital rim implants at the same time.fat grafting would probably be good enough unless giga recessed right
yeah might do that i guess ill just have to consult. I thought it was hard to find a surgeon to perform this thoThat was what a surgeon told me during consultation. I suppose it would be possible to get the plates removed post op, then get infraorbital implants.

It’s less common but there are definitely surgeons who do it. I raised it with a couple but they told me it wasn’t necessarily desirable to have more fullness beyond the jaws and that you want lateral not anterior projection of the cheekbones as a guy.yeah might do that i guess ill just have to consult. it would probably be even harder to find a surgeon to perform this, but i think ik what ur talking aboutwhat about that modified lefort 2 that only moves the nose and the maxilla instead of the orbits?
Rare procedure and the results can be largely replicated with bimax + implants without the risk of cutting into the orbits.what about that modified lefort 2 that only moves the nose and the maxilla instead of the orbits?
Modified LeFort 2 mobilizes part of the orbital floor, not the nasal cavity:what about that modified lefort 2 that only moves the nose and the maxilla instead of the orbits?
