In theory yes, you could pay some crack whore to marry you, in practice the authorities will be suspicious, come and interview you to see if the marriage is not arranged and you simply paid her to get a green card.
They will come to your house, look through your stuff, interview you separately, ask what kind of lingerie your partner wears and other intimate things that close partners should know, they could then just deny your visa.
