I’m 15 years old and thinking about Accutane for my nose. The thing is, my puberty is delayed, my bone age is around 13.6 years.

I’m wondering if it’s safe to use Accutane when I haven’t fully gone through puberty yet. Could it mess with growth or bone development?

Should I wait until I’m further along, or is it fine?

(If it's safe, which one should I buy at Indiamart?)

Isotretinoin has no relation to early growth plate closure. This has been long disproven.

Which dose would be safe/good for me to take? (I just want to thin my nose, I don't have acne)

20mg mondays and thursdays every week, for 4-6 months is what worked for me. My dermatologist for some reason went with this approach instead of the 20-80 daily mg given to some people I’ve known, and it’s literally all you need, also have eye drops and aquaphor ready. If you like I live in a country where alcohol is consumed at as early as 13 like mine, though, don’t drink alcohol or minimize it, 1 because isotretinoin is stressful enough on your liver and 2 you care about growth.

Has your nose actually shrunk noticeably? And after stopping the medication, has it gone back to normal, or did some of the effect stick around?

Since I’m very lightweight, I could take 40 mg/day for around 4 months, and that would be enough to reach the target cumulative dose to “teach” the body.

What do you think would be better for me? Do you think I should go with 20 mg twice a week or 40 mg per day?

Btw, I don’t have a dermatologist, so I’m just gonna buy it on IndiaMart and hope for the best.
