Which do you think would result in more muscle loss?

Getting absolutely zero nutrients whatsoever OR Still eating and intaking protein aswell as vital nutrients

you don't need us to answer this. fasting is just faster, it's not any better than a calorie deficit

Caloric deficit with higher protein intake and some activity for muscles is definitely better than mid or long time fasting. Short fasting may be legit due to supposed autophagy and other benefits, but not so much for losing fat.
