Is it true that rapid hair growth at an early age is a sign of growth plate closure?

Lately (over the past year or two), I’ve noticed that hair is rapidly growing on my abdomen, arms, and legs. I hope this won’t affect my future height (I’m currently 5'7" at age 13).
