Have done it twice for lips and twice for nasolabials, with mono threads and screw threads.
Realistically, you're going to want to use a good few screw threads over a few sessions for some tangible results around the eyes, but they are absolutely worth it. Whether they are worth it for your case specifically is up for debate, but I'd try it nonetheless. PDO threads are very inexpensive and not difficult at all.
