I have a slightly deep bite with some overjet, which makes my upper lip look heavier. I’m thinking about seeing an orthodontist in London called Ektor Grammatopoulos, as his work seems very strong in terms of facial aesthetics.

I’ve previously had braces, but they didn’t correct my bite properly. I still can’t clench my teeth together fully, as my back bite is slightly slanted, and my lower teeth hit into my upper teeth.

Do you think this is something that could be properly corrected and improve my facial aesthetics with braces alone, or would it likely require surgery?

Forgot these my bad

Did you do anything in particular for your mandible?
Nothing really, bro. Puberty saved me a lot with my mandible. It was quite a lot further back than my maxilla back then, but I think my maxilla projected earlier and my lower jaw caught up later. The mandible is one of the bones that takes the longest to fully develop, and I’m pretty sure there’s still a bit of growth left even now. So if you’re around my age and have a weak mandible, I’d capitalise on that time and maybe do some research into specific compounds.

Age difference between the two?

damn bro how did you ascend your chin like that
Mandible grew forwards more in puberty matching my maxilla more and corrected head posture abit and I’ve most likely got a lower bf then I did then I have like 12% rn was probably like 15 there

20/6/23 – 01/01/26, so quite a while. I believe I don’t have a mandible issue anymore, but I possibly still have a dental issue (my upper lip looks heavy compared to my lower lip), a deep bite, and a slight overjet. I think my mandible grew a lot later than my maxilla, which is why my profile improved so much.

Okay great so im guessing its just dental issue and evening out my bite bringing my lips into the correct ratios would improve my side cause of theharmony
