I have an anterior crossbite, which is causing me to have a small underbite, and my ortho suggested that I get braces with rubber bands that move my lower teeth back by about 2mm for my bite to be normal. Is that going to compromise my mandible and chin just for my teeth to be normal or not make much of an difference?

Maybe it isnt that bad i have a friend with an underbite with a too projected chin and rubber bands are improving it. Can u send a pic?
