Is “over working out” a real thing?

So according to the fags on Reddit, working out more than an hour, and working out more than 4 days a week is overworking… is that true ?

in terms of hypertrophy and bodybuilding yes overtraining will only stagnate you, but for endurance training its more complicated i guess

Obviously that's not true

I have many trucel natty bodybuilder friends that hit the gym 4-5 days a week

They're just fine

Working out that much doesn't mean you're overworking out, it means you are a gymcel

Overtraining = not listening to your body and going harder than you actually can
 
I mean yeah you can damage your gains if you don't take recovery days.

I used to do elite rowing and we trained 7 times a week.
only 1 rest-day, and 1 day where we trained twice both in the morning and afternoon.
