Why would you wait for something if there's even a small risk of it never materializing?
You've always got to assume the worst when planning for the future.

Damn I forgot to tag you. You think it's worth it to get a degree? Like spend 5-6 yearsyears and some thousands of dollars into something that I may not like and may have the risk of not even pay me well? If not, what would you do?

We're not getting universal basic income too many problems

Ok. What to secure? Like what type of security? The lesser people see me the best.
Truckers can make upwards of 60K+ a year, even more if you get a CDL license.
Trade-off of course is boring work and long hours.

TBH become a plumber or electrician. You’ll earn more than niggas getting a mechanical engineering degree.

Depends on the degree. If it's a professional occupation that requires one like medicine or law then absolutely.
If Compsci or a trades related job then no.

Your question is too broad. It's completely situational. Just because many students do shitty social science degrees with no improvements in employability doesn't mean that degrees are inherently obsolete or over-valued.

True, practical jobs in trades are well paid. Probably more resilient to automation as well.

I'm a useless clumsy type of guy I don't think that's for me, at least at the moment.

Yup. Everyone is going to get a degree, so the demand for those jobs is increasing. Or trades maybe.

I mostly agree but I think it depends on the degree.
I remember one girl at college doing her final year dissertation on the "Reality of Reality television" while I was trying to get AI to caption images of natural disasters!

0 innovation and development. And 99% of people being unemployed would create some shit ton of chaos

You can do Compsci online without a degree. You can access the entire MIT course on youtube.
Employers care more about portfolios then degrees because Compsci is highly learnable without any academic qualifications.

Getting a job these days will never work unless you know people for a referee or have tons of work experience to get in because it's quite competitive
I am just waiting for my exam results to wether I can get into a better uni this September

If you want a truly easy job, do some corporate or warehouse security or something

If you want even easier, do nights, but I wouldn't sacrifice good sleep

If you want to stay active, get a standing job/foot patrols

Getting a job does work. You're right about the importance of experience though.
You need to do placements first though with no pay. Literally any experience is valued.

High appeal HTN may suffice also tbh, if you’re lucky.
Plenty of good looking guys get nowhere in Hollywood. In fact, it's probably more of a pre-requisite. Necessary but not sufficient!

It’s really luck tbh. The better you look the more luck you’re going to have. Some get extremely lucky and look shit and succeed, others get less lucky and look good but fail. You’re never guaranteed to succeed, but you’re also not guaranteed to fail. It’s really all luck IMO.

All this shit sounds so complex and life-draining. I don't want to fucking work.

I have aristocratic roots, my people did not need to work why the fuck do I need to. With the brain I have I was meant to be mantained that's the truth, I would be such a good royal council.

Fuck this modern world.

Not even retail or fast food restaurants like KFC wants me despite being a law student

I'm 0 hour contract so sometimes barely any hours

Each shift is 8-12 hours. I usually do the 8 hours

I asked for a fixed contract and the manager said there was nothing available, even tho one of the two teams doesn't have a fixed 11-7 shift, and the supervisor said they hadn't found anyone for it (despite me saying I would take it before, and him claiming he thought I turned it down)

Surely there's a law firm that would take you on a placement - no pay. Even to do boring monkey work?

So not an ideal situation. Where do you see yourself career wise in the next decade?

Man, I am hopping I can get some experience within the law industry to land a job more easily in the future after graduating.

Idk tbh
My parents want me to do something "meaningful". I did marine biology at uni (hugely competitive for jobs), and natural biology/ecology is what I'm interested in (again, hugely competitive and requiring further degrees, experience, and connections, none of which I have or have the drive for)

So I don't really see any reason to not stay in security. It's easy, jobs are widely available, and I don't care about high wages. I wanna buy a tiny house abroad and part time maxx

Oh, you haven't graduated yet. Well that probably somewhat explains it.
I'd still be surprised if you called around law firms (smaller ones maybe preferable as HR is less bureaucratic) and didn't get some kind of placement.

Originally wanted Belize cos I heard it's easy to live there. Apparently just extend a visitor visa every month
After a year I think u can apply for PR, which I assume means u can work. Unless u need citizenship (5 years I believe). But that means at least a year of no (legal) work

So I'm considering some foreign EU territory like french Guiana, since I can get an Irish passport (but first need to register for citizenship)

Out of where? Parents' house or country?
Parents' house because that's what they want, and so do I when I can afford to buy a tiny house somewhere cheap

Country because I'm bored, I don't like winter, and it's expensive and crowded. I wanna be by the sea somewhere tropical and quiet. And it's just an adventure

We should move to Ukraine imo. Hot, black sea, soil with a promising future, etc. We could be great buddies for sure we share the same mentality.

Let's move to Belize. Save enough for a year without work, or maybe sell honey or some shit, then do something chill for work after

Sun exposure is good for you. I still prefer overcast but warm, but still
Just wear suncream on face. Also, better to age naturally than have a bad QOL hiding from sun

Not unsafe. We won't even be in the cities. Also we can have some weapons at home in case of emergency protection
