I have seen many, many people who said sunscreen is essential to prevent aging, but also many, many others who say aging is 90% genetics and the rest is a healthy lifestyle.

What's your opinion? Is sunscreen very important for anti-aging or is it largely cope?

Not true jfl, sun causes like 40-50% of aging easily even with genetics, expensive zinc based dry korean sunscreens are the best investments you can make. Very important to rub it on your cleavage and neck too, those places have thin skin like your face.

You can reap the vit D benefits of the sun plentifuly by just going with very short shorts and tanktops outside in the summer and chilling somewhere on the sun directly for 1 hour

Are you sure it's 40-50% even taking genetics out of the equation? I never saw a real proof for these claims.

If you're as white as me, it's obvious that wearing sunscreen can prevent sunburn. There's money to be made from telling people to constantly apply it (even indoors...).

I was solely talking about anti-aging. Obviously it can prevent sunburn.

People talk about tretinoin as an anti-aging component while mild sunburn is considered detrimental. They're essentially doing the same thing; killing the top layer of skin cells.

constant high cortisol and bad sleep is worse in my experience, during the pandemic i almost took no sun and aged a lot.

As long as you're eating your natural diet raw meat and blood then your body will be fine with sunlight as long as you're in your natural geographical habitat

You don't age from the sun unless you're eating a man-made diet in which you're already prematurely aging

Sunscreen is legit for coping

Just put a ton of sunscreen on your face so you dont see your shit bones theory
