Is taking calcium worth it? any benefits to it?

I've recently started taking 1300mg of calcium a day and was wonder wondering if yall noticed any benefits. I'm mainly taking it to build muscle.

Make sure that you don't consume it all at once and do consume it with meals. Make sure you get plenty of vitamin d, in order to absorb the calcium. Yes calcium supplementation will aid you in muscle function, so I assume that would aid in muscle mass.
