Is the iPhone pill still real?

I want to get a new phone in the near future.
I'm used to Android and the last time when I compared the iPhone 11 pro max to the S21 ultra, I went with the ultra.

I like the file management system + the option to download apps from the Internet (revanced for example).

Are iPhone still seen as that much better or have they lost their shine to normies?
