The risk must be a bit higher but the cut is done around the infraorbital foramen to avoid nerve damage.Bump
It can effect midface height ryt?The risk must be a bit higher but the cut is done around the infraorbital foramen to avoid nerve damage.
The infraorbital foremen are basically two small holes in the skull which store blood vessels and nerves.
This is an example of the cut - the two little holes as you can see from this are cut around to prevent any nerve damage:

No. Maybe elevate the nasal tip like LF1 can but that’s about it. Not even high level osteotemies make the midface more compact. I can’t think of a surgery that actually makes the midface shorter. It can effect midface height ryt?
Good luck finding a surgeon who will do this cutThe risk must be a bit higher but the cut is done around the infraorbital foramen to avoid nerve damage.

No because the risk of doing it is not worth it, you might aswell do leforte 2 but a higher then average cut leforte 1 can be good option for paranasal defiencyDo you have any before and afters of a high cut lefort I btw?
There are a number of surgeons who do high LF.Good luck finding a surgeon who will do this cut
Yea it peobably has some aesthetic benefit, but yea not worth it stillThere are a number of surgeons who do high LF.
I found a local one who does it but I think results are underwhelming and even inferior to bimax + implants.
Still, it has a pretty good risk profile and has been done for over 50 years at this point.
