Not talking about perm and hair transplant
My dad had very curly hair from the age of 10
My mom has straight.
My grandfather developed wavy hair in the university.
I developed wavy hair at the back and sides at 15. My hair is thicker there. The rest is completely straight and dirty blonde and thin(curly parts are brunette ). I have also noticed that males have curly hair more often than females. Is there a link between hair type and different hormones? Also if i changed my hair thickness by for example minoxidil, is there a chance that it would become wavy? I look a lot better with curls and thats something a have always dreamt about. Is there something i can do?Im talking about permanent effects.

Are you using any products that make your hair heavier? How long is your hair currently

What do you mean heavier? I dont really use any. I tried but it doesnt change anything that much.

I tried drying it with a diffuser(or what is it called), i kinda rub it in and hold for 5 secs, but it causes heat damage, frizz and potential hair loss

goldwell goodness + use consistently and ur hair will gradually get curlier

That looks great. Curly hair is a low class, ethnic feature and should be chemically nuked, not sought after.
the dude is ur pfp literally has curly hair JFL

After trying to get rid of my curly hair for months it almost makes tear up seeing someone wanting curly hair

You can just get a perm brah but yeah minoxidil tends to make hair curlier, also with age it gets curlier, I had pin straight hair as a kid

Yes there is a way to fraud curly hair without a perm. Here’s a photo to my hair before the method I use:

As you can see it’s wavy but not really curly. I’d say I have 2A/2B hair.

Things you need:
(1) Buy this Curling Sea Clay by Merman. Co.
Link: https://themermanco.com/products/curling-sea-clay

Alternatively you can use this one but not sure if it will work well/have enough hold:

(2) Sea salt spray

(3) Hair dryer with diffuser.

Also I recommend shampooing only with sulfate free shampoos and conditioners (no silicones either obviously). When I use harsher shampoos my hair becomes a lot more straight and it’s a lot harder to style

Method:
(1) Shampoo and condition hair
(2) Dry hair for a little bit so it’s not dripping wet, but it’s still pretty wet.
(3) Get a lot of this clay and scrunch it in your hair. By a lot, I mean A LOT. You need more of it to have those curls in your hair. Make sure your hair is wet enough, putting in the clay when your hair is too dry will give leave this product residue on your hair.
(4) after scrunching it in dry your hair with a diffuser until it’s damp. Preferably dry your hair with your head downwards.
(5) when your hair is a bit more dry, but still a bit wet put some sea salt spray in and scrunch it in. You can put some more clay in as well but this might lead to some residue
(6) Keep hair drying with a diffuser until done.

(my hair looks kinda greasy in the first pic because i tried using a curl cream as well + was standing in front of sun so lighting)

Method takes me about 25 mins, but I only do it 2-3 times a week. If you do it correctly your hair still pretty much looks good the next day. I get quite a few compliments on my hair now
