A postop occlusal plane of 9.4 is still pretty damn steep. I think the problem is this surgeon isn't comfortable doing the necessary amount of CCW

I’d be surprised if that’s the case since he has done thousands of them, he does like 2 of them everyday

Maybe he hasn’t given the plan much thought? Although I did make it clear am mostly doing this for asthestics

Or he simply doesn’t have an eye for aesthetics

I am in a very bad position if I cancel/reschedule do you think its still worth going through with it

But I mean to be fair the plan seems a bit conservative, it might be good tho. But 2,7 upper maxilla seems very small movements. And the bsso must be really small considering the genio must be at least 3 mm of the 11 mm you move forward. I mean it can still be really good ofc and you will ascend but the difference maybe is not that much

But I see some problem with your upper teeth, the are protruding very much, this is probably why he is conservative. Did he suggest you should remove teeth ? Because that's what the usually do when teeth protrudes like that.

Man I told him I want to fix assymetry aswell and I told him about widening he said I will just fix assymetry

But he’s not even fixing it for some reason? It doesn’t even make sense at this point

Surgeon is out of pocket, idk but he’s only moving one side of my mandible 4mm and the other 6mm

Do you have any TMJ issues as of right now? I mean it's s good thing in some way because TMJ is no joke. But I mean it can be bad for aesthetics, but some people say widening can help with TMJ to some degree also.( But yes it's more risk for sure)

I mean the plan is not terrible but the bimax in itself will not change much because of lack of both widening and CCW(also not even 3 mm upper which is very conservative). It's like you are getting a bimax for a genio
