Can a LeFort 2 cut be performed without visual assistance? In most cases of LeFort 2 surgeons open the skull and visually check the osteotomy lines, but a surgeon who I have booked for consultation in 4 days and does modified LeFort 2 says he instead uses probing and prior scanning to avoid damaging important structures such as the lacrimal glands. Is this a valid and safe way to perform the surgery? He hasn't botched anyone afaik. (Yes, he does this for cosmetic purposes)
This is the cut he's performing btw.
