is water fast after taking a diuretic a good play?

going to a party Saturday and want to look insane for pictures. I plan on taking a diurex diuretic Friday around 3pm. Gonna drink a fuck ton of water an hour after taking it, then completely cut water until the party (18ish hour water cut). I have no experience with water cutting or diuretics really. is this a good plan, or am I completely wrong? thanks
