I know people on that path tbh. I only left my old school last year so it’s a bit early for a lot of that to happen.

Also I went to a selective school kinda thing so you are kinda pressured to at least pass the most important ones

Stick with A-levels. Try to master something to a high level so that by 25, you are world class (top 1%) at it and can get insane salaries or start your own business in that field

When you're 30, there is a lot more to tell about that stuff...
One guy from school, who was younger than me, got into criminal cases and took all the blame for himself and spent 8 years in prison.
Some male classmates went to IT (like me) and went living abroad in countries like Serbia or Thailand.
Female classmates all got husbands and kids, nobody built a strong career AFAIK.
One used to have all top grades but ended up marrying a hooligan.
Childhood friend was caught messing up with drugs and was given a choice of either be sent to prison or go to Ukrainian frontlines (such people are sent into the worst areas there).
A short classmate from other school from a poor family went fighting voluntary early there and was injured, not sure where he is now.
Most of the guys ain't married/don't have kids. When asked, they say they "haven't found a decent girl yet".
One girl from Ukraine I knew went fighting for Ukraine as a soldier (her choise, albeit very stupid one)
