After alot of users advice to stop taking jew meds. I have stopped taking my Sertraline 50mg, Tbh the only thing I have seen from these pills are side effects and no improvements in over 3 months of use so I think its time I stop. They have been making it harder to think and gave me the memory of a gold fish.

So as of yesterday I quit taking them cold turkey, I've yet to notice any too bad withdrawals I just itch a bit but Ik the bad withdrawals will start soon, the jews wont just let me go without a battle.

Wish me luck boyos on stopping. Hopefully I don't have too severe withdrawals in the worst case they should only last around 3 weeks. Usually they kick in after not taking the meds for 5 days :feelsgood:.

Withdrawal can be brutal. The “zaps” throughout your body are the worst. Feels like you lay you body along an electric fence

Not really no. On the contrary
Is there a thread on nicotine gum can I just buy anything and chew it?

One of the disorders it might be effective for.
Didn’t you up the dose?
Tbh I could have upped the dose but I've been on it for 3 months with just sides and did contact my doctor about increasing the dosage to 100mg but they basically said they cant have a consultation with me for about another month which is kinda rediculous tbh.

My prescription run out last Tuesday so its been about 5ish days, but at the time I was told it hadn't been ordered and when I got a msg it was their on Wednesday I just couldn't be asked.

The problem with them tbh is like I said I just have sides and the sides are terrible.
  • Low Libido (Hard to get erections and maintain/No sex drive)
  • Shit sleep
  • Constant brain fog
  • Memory problems (Cant remember basic things like some words)
  • Cognition problems I now struggle with mental maths even simplistic things like working out basic multiplication in my head (I can't do it anymore I forget it too fast my working memory has probably decreased from about 12-14 to about 3 I have to write everything down)
  • Little to no focus
  • Apathy (No emotions/Motivation I have to use discipline for everything now even waking up).
  • Cant read very well, Words are blurry for some reason perhaps caused by my lack of focus but I have to re read this a few times to understand them now.
I haven't noticed a single improvement in my SAD.

But the main reason for stopping is I have recently been taking stimulents like Phenylpiracetam which have decreased my anxiety so much in just a few weeks, I've been using it to aid me in ET.

I also plan to use shrooms to decrease the size of my amygdala as I've been reading some studies and supposedly shrooms in controlled high dosages can decrease it by 10-30%. (Its one of the main causes for Anxiety)

Also you cant use shrooms in conjunction with Sertraline at least that's what I have read, it will cause Sertraline Syndrom which is really bad and can kill you.

Stopping cold turkey is a bad idea, not as bad as in case of benzos, but still you could avoid a lot of struggles by gradually tapering off. Pills themselves ain't always evil, they may help some without much side effects if lucky.
Microdosing mushrooms is interesting, can potentially help a lot.
Phenylpiracetam is great but there is a rapid tolerance in most of people. I can't use it for more than 4 days straight, just stops working until you get a long break.

Yep Ik it's stupid but I think tapering off just requires too much effort and tbh I have already noticed a decrease in withdrawals since yesterday. I was in London today and didn't feel dizzy once, I think in maybe a week or two most of the withdrawals will be gone.

Microdosing mushrooms is interesting, can potentially help a lot.
If you're interested I can lyk if it makes any improvements. I've decided to grow my own shrooms so it probably wont be 3-4 weeks before I am able to harvest them.

Yep definitely. I have been taking it 3 times a week max, usually trying to put 2 days in between each dosage. I usually only use it when I really need it.

For example, I have been using it when I have my driving lessons as it really helps with my SAD and helps put my mind to rest while driving so I am not as anxious about how I appear but Instead can focus on actually driving.

I can't use it for more than 4 days straight, just stops working until you get a long break.
I have never used it consecutively myself, but I do think the tolerance built up is very quick.

Just brought some should be here tommorow.

Its only 2mg but that should be enough to start with right? Do you take it yourself Rabid?
Ik you can get addicted to nicotine quite easily but is that the only side/downside? I don't want to get cancer or appear older.

cancer claims are overblown u need to smoke a pack a day for 30 years for having any real risk of cancer, ive read the studies. and gum isnt even a question im talking about cigs. nicotine is harmless at these dosages . i take 8 mg a day nicotine gum

Boyo nicotine in gum form or pouch form as longer as it is tobacco free does not cause cancer. It's the thousand other chemicals in ciggies which cause cancer. Also addiction to nicotine is not that harsh as compared to cigarettes due to the presence of other chemicals. Atleast that's what I've read

I've quit sertraline too and I replaced it with amitriptyline . Amitriptyline is a TCA (not ssri) that is much better

TCA (Tricyclic Antidepressants)are good and work very well especially for anxiety and insomnia.

Ssri is bad and should be avoided.

Nicotine in itself is good and even neuroprotective prevents loss of dopaminergic neurons that comes with aging

Tobacco is bad though

I take VELO Freeze pouches which is 10,9 mg nicotine per pouch . Which pouches do you take bruv?

This is the gum I've brought Im assuming it probably doesn't matter which brand.

What dosage would you recommend for a complete beginer?

I am thinking about just chewing 2mg maybe everyday? (I have no idea if that's too little or quite a lot for someone who has never had any nicotine)
You chew it for a few minutes then just keep it in your mouth right, If so for how long do you chew and how long do you keep in mouth?

Any idea how long the effects of the nicotine would last,
would I build up a tolerance?

You would deffo build up a tolerance if you take it daily. I started with 6 mg now I take 30 mg daily. Which I know is alot but helps me cope. Also to reset your tolerance you can take some period off nicotine like a day or even a week depending on what you consider feasible, after this nicotine hits the same as it did.

Check out Wellbutrin, it's an antidepressant but NOT an SSRI it upregulates dopamine instead and gives energy.

Also look into MAOI's

Just ask your doctor, why buy it online if you have insurance

Mainly because there is so much blue tape in the UK.
I cant just ask to be changed from Sertraline to Nadvil.

Yeah, the thing with the uk is things are paid for by the government (NHS (although I still have to pay a small amount for the meds myself but it's minuscule amount couple pounds at most)) so they don't just give you whatever you want as they are the ones shelling the bill.

I might try contact my GP tomorrow but I doubt they would prescribe it.

I've been chewing this shit for like an hour, currently on 4mg. It feel so good boyos (Atleast while Im chewing it after I spit the gum out the effects seem to windle).

But I just read this :feelsgiga:

"Nicotine can directly impact hair loss by starving a hair follicle of nutrients that it requires to grow hair." :dafuckfeels:.

Have any of you boyos noticed any hair loss?

Ah rip. I might also be chewing it a little too much to the point where I might be swallowing the nicotine as I have a noticeable cough.
Might be drying my throat out a bit if Im swallowing it I think?
