Jaw looks weird when biting down/clenching

At rest my jaw looks really good

I have my lips sealed and teeth slightly touching however when I bite down or clench down, it looks like I have sfs

At rest my jaw is 35% of my total facial height but when I bite down it looks so retarded like sfs

I do have a slight overjet of the teeth but I have literally 0 recessed anyone know anything about this?

It's so weird, my jaw is also my best feature (jaw at rest that is) bc my eye area isn't too good I'll need infras and lower eyelid retraction repair so it's a rough spot

you probably *do* have sfs. get mandibular advancement if youre under 17

if youre recessed your jaw can look short, even if it isnt

no like my orthodontist told me i dont have sfs also my lower third is not my smallest third

No, I got it checked out, apparently I have functional retrusion is what the orthodontist said, basically my lower jaw naturally sits forward but when i want to clench i have to force it backwards, my teeth are also slightly crowded, I will need to widen my pallate and get braces now, I am 19 and have no fucking money and i plan on getting cheekbone implants and cantho in the future man fml

I feel like I have the same thing, my orthodontist said a natural slide backwards when biting down is "normal" but i feel like it isn't.

Im getting a michigan splint to find my Centric Relation and fix my teeth according to that.
