Jaw surgery??

I went to the orthodontist yesterday and he gave me two options I either get regular top and bottom braces or I get jaw surgery as my maxilla is narrow and recessed however he said there's a chance of permanent nerve damage in that area so I'm debating which option to take and also the jaw surgery will commence 4 years from now and I can get both options free

4 years damn, so you're probably 14, you can start with palatal expansion if your maxilla is narrow i guess

i have a freind who is also class 3. i recomend waiting for the surgery imo will get better results and greater health benifits the braces will help a lot for the looks but u will still have a sunken looking midface after the treatment is over my freind is 18 and just finished his braces he should have chose the srugery. but its up 2 u
