I haven't got any jaw surgery yet but I had a genio last September. The swelling was extremely disturbing in the first 3 days after surgery, especially the 3rd day when I couldn't even fall asleep. 10 days later I could remove the bandages, and 2 weeks after the procedure I could start to eat somehow normally. But there was still some residual swelling and I couldn't speak properly. It wasn't until 2-3 months post surgery that I started to look and speak as usual.
Now I have to imagine all the pain I have to go through if I undergo double jaw and/or chin wing, which would probably happen in 1-2 years.
