Dozens of people have been killed in a crowd crush at a Jewish religious gathering in northern Israel. Emergency services and ambulances also said that more than 100 people had been injured at the Lag Baomer gathering at the foot of Mount Meron. The event was the first large-scale religious gathering held legally since Israel lifted Covid-19 restrictions.
