Jumping genioplasty?

Most sliding genioplasties can give 6 to 8mm but a jumping genioplasty can give 10 to 12mm + chin width. The only downside is that it reduces chin height. IMO tall chin is very important but if you have a tall lower third anyways the extra prominence and width might be worth a small sacrifice in height, also it doesn't look like it reduces height THAT much.

Isnt a trimax (bimax with genio) superior if you are recessed? The genio gives just a little bit forward growth. Bimax is a few mm and genio a few mm more?

I asked Dr Eppley about jumping genio and he said “A jumping genioplasty is rarely used because of the major step offs that it creates.” Also this is the only other before/after of jumping genio I could find:
