wondered why for the longest time I've struggled to make friends despite having good social skills (not cope despite how it sounds
)
I am in the middle of recording a college project with a friend, and for that we recorded a long-format conversation where we talked as we usually would. I listened to the recording on audacity and realised that I sound like a squeaky, high-pitched aspie and also speak very quickly and stumble over my words frequently.
I then slowed down my speech using Audacity's software, and also decreased my voice pitch and guess what - I sound a lot more NT, as well as a lot less annoying, which is absolutely vital in social situations
Guess it is brutal for me as all these years I was not too sure about why I couldn't make make friends. Now I know that the Voicepill is one of the biggest contributors to this, and also why I couldn't develop a lot of confidence (another reason for my lack of social success).
Also explains why one guy I know who says kind of cringey shit appears to me as very charismatic, and has lots of friends despite being rather ugly, fat and short
Thoughts? Think I just stumbled on another very important SMVmax
