Now the obvious question here is: What about the kid's face and height, bro? Do they screen for genes affecting that? I heavily doubt it

I don't think they can actually screen babies for IQ sounds like sci-fi cope. They can't explain how this is possible, so don't believe it.

They can screen for gender and can abort male babies so the future can be all female and we can eliminate suffering for the generation between earth implodes from incompetence.

Alleles that code for diseases are easy to detect, because scientists can notice patterns in the chromosomes of dudes who have hemophilia and deduce what genes go into some properties of blood. It's not possible to detect patterns like that with intelligence. It could be a combination of thousands of genes and epigenetic factors that cause good pattern matching facilities. It's not consistent like with a genetic disorder which is caused by one or two genes and that 'genetic counseling' can predict. Epigenetic factors do matter. If I put lead in your drinking water you would have lower IQ.

People can't even really define what intelligence is like you can define not being able to stop bleeding because your bloodstream is abnormal. Some people confuse being well-read and having learned a lot. Education is not intelligence, but to acquire some education you need some amount of intelligence.

If you collected thousands of guys who you thought were high IQ and examined each of their DNA and genes to try detect what group of genes are the cause, good fucking luck. Some of those guys you've collected are black; some are lactose intolerant; some are manlets, some are 6'5; some have joint hyper flexibility; and some had grandfathers who developed glaucoma. Some have straight hair, and some went bald at twenty. Some would have went bald at twenty if they didn't do finasteride.

And with all of the genes that could cause balding or glaucoma or joint hyper flexibility, black hair and blonde hair, you think it's possible to locate the thousands of genes that cause intelligence to emanate from someone?
