Most actors were more attractive back then because movies were still the domain of the beautiful and the destructive forces of widespread feminism didn’t give ugly harpy and fat women status and sway in society. Back then you actually had to be good looking to be an actor because the movie industry understood that if 90% of your job requires that people look at you, it’s better if they see something they like.

The same thing happened with modeling in the 1980’s vs now. If you watch old runway shows all the models, male or female, used be Chads and Stacy’s, now that average runway is filled with deformed freaks.
