I had a lot of very specific fetish content. A lot of BDSM. I had a lot of paid content. Starting at 1998 I invested more than $10.000 in porn. I had thousands of bookmarks in my browser. I had lots of porn on my phone too.

So last week I deleted all of it. Every last bit including backups (I had multiple backups). I cleaned my phone. I deleted everything. The thing was porn would pop up as soon as I'd look on my phone or PC and it would distract me and invite me to fap all the time.

What is amazing is that it is already losing it's power over me. The need to watch porn or fap has drastically gone down as my phone and PC do not constantly invite me to fap anymore. I am not constantly being triggered and thus the need is going down. That's good.

I missed it just a little bit the first 2-3 days. But it felt very good. Seeing those files going away from my hard drives felt like a relief. And I do not regret it. Not at all. I feel like this shit was damaging my mind.

Because if you spend a lot of time with it it gets boring and you are interested in more and more fucked up shit like gokkun, bdsm, whippings, canings etc. Then you see a preview of a specific video on a free site...like a very unique idea or a woman you find extremely hot. You want to see the rest of it but it is nowhere to be found so since you are making good money and you do not have time to waste you just buy the membership instead of wasting days to find the video for free. Also 23 years ago porn was not as available as it is today and $10K over a 23 year timeframe is just $35 a month.

Yes and the same goes for anything that is meant to give you quick dopamine for something that is just an illusion. Therefore I also deleted all my social media and uninstalled my games. The brain must learn to get dopamine only from ACTUAL success. The mere expectation of porn, social media and games will already release dopamine which will force you to do it if it is at all an option.
