Is this a legit surgery or is it going to cause hideous buccal corridors during an open mouth smile without a corresponding palatal expansion?

Can't find before and afters except with closed mouth.

Thoughts? Anyone with mouth width less than IPD (assuming ideal IPD of 2 facial fifths) could benefit from this procedure.

Mouth stretching would do the same. If you have a dental issue causing it then MSE/SARPE/Bimax would be the way to go.

Mouth length doesnt make or break a face. There are way more important surgeries. Also that shit is brutal, they literally joker cut your mouth open

I have not read that mouth stretching provides anything more than temporary (same day) results.

Bimax + orthodontics to remove the lingual tilt from my canine and incisor teeth may provide some improvement but my mouth really is narrow compared to the ideal.

I morphed my face to increase my mouth width by 25% to equal my IPD as well as reduce my nose width by 15% to equal one facial fifth and the improvement in dimorphism was tremendous in my opinion.
