Will I hit any extra muscle by doing this? because if the neck is anything like the forearms then you are not maximizing gains if you avoid those moves

When I was doing boxing training, my friend (coach) made me do all of those laying face up with head hanging off the ring and then face down. My neck's thick as it is >17 but once I get back into lifting it's definitely something I'll be doing to maximize neck gains.Will I hit any extra muscle by doing this? because if the neck is anything like the forearms then you are not maximizing gains if you avoid those moves

I have long neck and narrow shoulders, I definelly don't do shrugs, I want to minimize as much trap development as I canIf you already do shrugs
