you're totally correct, Bick's is a modification that makes the process faster while presserving full thickness [a resection], very good cosmethically, I should add

LTS is more of a canthotomy plus a canthoplasty, because it shortens the lateral side of the eyelid [a removal], this is easier to do for the surgeon

when the lateral side of your lower eyelid hangs down the most and need the "biggest lift" shortening of the lower eyelid in that region will only lift the lateral side of the lower eyelid? or the whole eyelid?

both procedures lift the whole eyelid after suture, with Bick's having a more "neutral" look, think of it as "caucasian"
older (and especially asian) patients get LTS in my country, but they often refer "feeling of something below my upper eyelid" which resolves with artificial tears.
I was thinking of getting a blefaroplasthy too a long time ago, but I ended liking my eyes after I just put some strips with the ophto for 3 months
and, hey, Botox will still be there for me if I want to try something else

so there is no way to only lift a certain part of the lower eyelid?

look at that example

the lower eyelid appears especially "saggy" at the lateral half of the lower eyelid while it seems okay on the medial site...what if you want to lift especially the more lateral side?

so if go with bick i avoid an asian look but i still get the lifting effect? so since im an european i should emphasize when im with the surgeon i want the bicks technique performed?

what do you mean with strips? could you elaborate this a bit further...

literal eyelid tapes, at first I thought the Derma and the Ophto were taking me for a fool, but it really is an instant "how would your eyes appear if you get surgery" thing, and it made my eyes more symmetrical after only using them for events

also I recommend Bick's, better results, better feeling

for what purpose? getting rid of eyebags?
or just shaping them like you said on post 8?

either way, lower eyelid blepharoplasty is a field still in development, I heard good things about transconjunctival approach, with this pandemic and all, I suggest to wait til it's more general practice

yes to lift the lower eyelid, eyebags are not an issue for me..

i need sth to lift my lower eyelid, especially the lateral half (see the example i posted)

if eyelid taps could mimic surgery there it would be cool to visualise it how it might look later
