If you’re lean and natural you can end up looking kind of like a “twig” in clothes, which is where the whole sleeper build idea comes from. Most of your physique just isn’t visible day to day, so people don’t really register it. The main thing that people notice is your face when you’re lean you get more hollowed cheeks, sharper jaw, all that, Being shredded often does better on Tinder because you can showcase your whole body, you just look more striking in pictures even if IRL it’s not that obvious.

In real life it’s a bit different. When I’m really lean, people are usually surprised if they see me flex or take off a shirt because they didn’t expect much size under the clothes. It doesn’t really translate until it’s shown directly.

When I’m more like 18–20% body fat (not fat, just not super lean), my frame looks wider and more filled out in clothes. I’ve noticed that gets more real-world attention. The only times I’ve actually had girls approach or initiate was in that kind of condition.

Part of it is that in real life, it’s more socially normal for women to comment on or compliment physique than facial structure. Talking about someone’s face is more direct, but commenting on build, shoulders, arms etc. is an easier, more socially acceptable way to show interest. So if your frame reads as “solid” right away, there’s more room for that kind of interaction.

There are also studies people bring up about perceived width and attractiveness, and whether or not you buy into them, it does line up with the idea that a wider frame is more immediately noticeable in person.

So for naturals at least, there’s a tradeoff. Lean helps a lot for face and photos, but a bit more size helps with frame and in-person presence. And the real “best case” is just having enough muscle that you still look big even when lean.

It also depends on how you distribute fat for me at 18 to 20% body fat i didn't get significantly fatter facially i still had a defined face relative to the average person just lost my hollow cheeks for you it might actually be dire so don't just read this and say im gonna gain a bunch of bodyfat analyze your body and the way you distribute fat

For the people i recommend this to is people like me who are ectomorphs you have a good physique when you take of your clothes but when you wear a shirt it disappears

Solution : Fitted/Tailored clothes that show off your physique even under the shirt

The people you know with a sleeper build you think they would benefit with only tailored clothes? You dont think they lack in mass?

Well if the shirt is hiding the body the solution is to get a shirt that grips on the body, AKA fitted clothes. Am I reading this wrong?

The problem isn’t just the shirt it’s that they don’t look big, and their frame isn’t wide enough. A shirt will only really show the forearms and arms, which can look good once you flex and get a pump, but throughout the day that isn’t really the case.

Look at Charlie you would never assume he had a decent physique if he didn't flex and hes wearing a shirt and still is a victim of this

Case in point only looks good with the shirt off and flexing with a pump

I agree

Lean is law is sorta cope

As long as you’re under 20% you should be fine
