Being lean is the no. 1 easiest, most accessable looksmaxx, so if you're not leannaxxing then you're not a real looksmaxxer.

People have different genetics and starting points, but the ideal is pretty much the same for everyone (8-12% bf).

So let's cut to the chase! How does one get and, more importantly, stay this lean?

  • Eliminate or drastically reduce processed sugar instake
  • Drink A LOT of water
  • Eat a lot of protein (~1 g/lb of bw)
  • Eat vegetables everyday
  • Get some healthy fats everyday for proper hormonal functioning (salmon, avocado, olive oil, nuts and seeds are some good choices)
  • Sleep enough (there are supplements like ashwagandha and medicine like melatonin to help if you really need it)
  • Stay active! Taking long walks is one of the best ways since it's very low impact, but of course any type of physical activity will do the job. Take up sports, martial arts or do juggling like me.
Those are the basics. You should be doing all of those before you start thinking of other stuff. Once you've got that part down you may consider incorporating any or all of these additional tips:

  • Caffeine. Coffee, green tea, pills, PWO, whatever you prefer. Just try and not overdo it as that may interfere with sleep and cause adrenal fatigue, which are both counterproductive. 400 mg/day is often considered the max, so I would avoid taking more than that.
  • Apple cider vinegar. 1 tablespoon 1-2 times/day. Mix it with water and add some lemon juice.
  • Build muscles. Do resistance training because muscles BURN FAT.
  • Intermittent/prolonged fasting. Pretty self-explanatory; don't eat. There's a lot of good things to say about fasting beyond leanmaxxing, but we won't go into it ITT.
  • Meditation. It reduces cortisol.
  • Cold showers. Increases testosterone and metabolism.
You are free to contribute to this thread any way you like. I'll soon compile a list of supplements, so stay tuned and stay grinding!

Good thread.

I am over 20 percent bodyfat so I've got a while to go before I'm lean.

Sorry about not posting the supplement list yet. I simply don't have enough knowledge or experience with it, so maybe someone else can chime in?

Instead today's leanmaxxing tip will be to replace your favorite indulgence foods with healthier alternatives. Today I'm having homemade hamburgers, but instead of regular fries I'll be making sweet potatoe fries. I also drink sugar free soda instead of regular soda.

More like bulkmaxxing if you are a man

This reads more like a how to be healthy guide. If you want to get lean just be disciplined with your diet and eat in a caloric deficit, it's that simple.

I don’t think you need that much protein, good thread though. Read every word

High protein diet combined with HIT strength training is probably the easiest way to naturally increase test. Having higher amounts of test will eventually lead to a faster metabolism ie your body is burning more calories with less movement expenditure so you'll lose more weight doing nothing.

Getting lean is all about caloric restriction, but to stay lean you need to get your hormones and nutrition on point, otherwise your muscles will atrophy, making it much harder in the long-run.

Well depends on how much fat you're maintaining, 10-12% bf is the sweet spot for optimal test levels.
