Being lean is the no. 1 easiest, most accessable looksmaxx, so if you're not leannaxxing then you're not a real looksmaxxer.
People have different genetics and starting points, but the ideal is pretty much the same for everyone (8-12% bf).
So let's cut to the chase! How does one get and, more importantly, stay this lean?
People have different genetics and starting points, but the ideal is pretty much the same for everyone (8-12% bf).
So let's cut to the chase! How does one get and, more importantly, stay this lean?
- Eliminate or drastically reduce processed sugar instake
- Drink A LOT of water
- Eat a lot of protein (~1 g/lb of bw)
- Eat vegetables everyday
- Get some healthy fats everyday for proper hormonal functioning (salmon, avocado, olive oil, nuts and seeds are some good choices)
- Sleep enough (there are supplements like ashwagandha and medicine like melatonin to help if you really need it)
- Stay active! Taking long walks is one of the best ways since it's very low impact, but of course any type of physical activity will do the job. Take up sports, martial arts or do juggling like me.
- Caffeine. Coffee, green tea, pills, PWO, whatever you prefer. Just try and not overdo it as that may interfere with sleep and cause adrenal fatigue, which are both counterproductive. 400 mg/day is often considered the max, so I would avoid taking more than that.
- Apple cider vinegar. 1 tablespoon 1-2 times/day. Mix it with water and add some lemon juice.
- Build muscles. Do resistance training because muscles BURN FAT.
- Intermittent/prolonged fasting. Pretty self-explanatory; don't eat. There's a lot of good things to say about fasting beyond leanmaxxing, but we won't go into it ITT.
- Meditation. It reduces cortisol.
- Cold showers. Increases testosterone and metabolism.
