Lefort genuinely seems like the best choice for achieving the most natural results. It’s as natural as it gets. You’re actually moving the bones, which means you won’t have to worry about issues like your face aging poorly with an implant that doesn’t move naturally over time. Unlike implants, which almost never go right the first time, Lefort provides a permanent fix to the underlying issue: being recessed.
With implants, the problem is that they rarely look good on the first try. It’d honestly be a miracle if they did. Revisions are almost always necessary, and every revision costs more money, more psycho episodes, and more damage to your face as you go through surgery after surgery. Not to mention, your face won’t age as naturally with an implant as it would with Lefort, which allows your face to naturally adapt to the new structure over time.
People on the forum seem to misunderstand Lefort and its risks. The mortality risk applies mostly to Leforts performed on patients with fractures or severe trauma. When done for cosmetic reasons, the risks are significantly lower, assuming you don’t go to Zimbabwe.
The best approach seems to be combining Lefort with implants for minor adjustments once you’ve already addressed the base issue with Lefort. A better base means a better implant result (given you have the right implant designer ofc). Solely relying on implants, especially with a recessed base, seems like a retarded idea unless your flaws are genuinely minor to medium.
Of course, Lefort still feels like a pipedream, with the only person I know willing to go this route being @RealSurgerymax . Does anyone genuinely know any actual gatekept good surgeon willing to perform a Lefort? Of course, I understand if you can’t answer this here, but PM’ing me would be a lifesaver as I have the funds and am genuinely interested in getting a Lefort done.
