We know how awful the effects of finasteride are in terms of your hormonal profile, and the fact that the effects tend to last even long after stopping makes it even worse. We know minoxidil is a collagen killer that also darkens you under eye area because of the effect on the blood vessels, and causes extreme fatique/brain fog. Remember it was originally intended to be used to lower blood pressure.
So the idea of 1.5 mm dermarolling and diluted peppermint oil used in conjunction just once every 2 weeks seems very appealing. Studies support the hair growth results and the self reports on various forums tend to be overwhelmingly good. The only problem is peppermint oil might have an impact on testosterone/estrogen for the worse. The question is if it's to a significant degree and if the topical exposure rather than oral, as well as having it in such a small quantity since it's diluted so much and only doing it twice a month, makes it negligible.
What are your guys' thoughts? Obviously by dermarolling you allow the peppermint oil to more easily get into the bloodstream. But it's also such a small amount and not being applied very often. And I'm not sure if there are studies on the non-oral exposure resulting in significant antiandrogenic effects. Would applying peppermint oil a week after dermarolling be optimal so the cuts aren't open for it to get into the bloodstream? Would that greatly reduce the hair regrowth in doing so?
