Life feels quite boring when you don’t have a goal As you get older this hits harder. What used to feel like well earned chill time just feels empt
Most goals society sells you are cope to an extent The promotion, the perfect body, the status car, the soulmate not saying they are hollow even after you crush every single one you'll still feel empty and so do many people who reach that at some point. Life unfortunately isn’t a movie with a satisfying third act. No final boss, no credits rolling with everyone clapping no happilyever after. Time just passes by.
But I also think total aimlessness is slow suicide Having some direction even imperfect ones creates momentum and fuels growth Like I want to become a CFO of a big tech company or become a cofounder of big startup one day Aiming for the stars yes but it gives me a purpose and you should do it too not because it’ll make you happy forever but because it beats stagnation.
Im not a nilhalist but it is true that most people's lives are meaningless, they could die tomorrow and besides for a few handful of friends and familybno one would care so I try my best to bring some positive impact in this worldnatleast a few people to the best of my abilities so I can have some sort of fulfillment and happiness in seeing them happy so it means I mattered to someone at some point in their lives
