Raising downturned mouth corners provides a pretty decent increase in mouth width. Opting for this procedure is far better than Eppley mouth widening as it doesn’t leave scars. If your mouth is upturned to begin with and it’s still narrow, it’s over for you.

Just make sure you don’t over do it cause sometimes results looks uncanny.

I thought I would have had more upturn from marpe, but my mouth definitely has become wider, especially when I am smiling wide, my mouth corners now go wider than my ipd. My left side expanded more than my right, so now, when resting my left side is under my iris while my right is a bit inside

How much expansion did you do? I personally need very little to get the corners of my mouth in line with my pupil but it would be ideal.

Got an 12mm expander, but didn't expand the whole way because then I would need lower jaw expansion too, so in the end I expanded ~8mm. Since its anchored to the bone, it was all skeletal.

Also it wasn't pure MSE, so the expansion was conical as in my front teeth moved more and the gap was around 10-11mm

Anecdotally, my close friends say that my face has gotten wider.

And even tho I am bloated atm, I noticed my zygos popping out more, when I will finish my cut, I will see the real zygo gains since I have some good pics of me before I started bulking.

But it seems counter intutivie since I got horizontal and vertical osteotomies, then again the expander type that I have installed helps with mewing and I hardmewed as soon as I could post-op, so the weakened sutures could attribute to me getting mewing gains => zygo gains.

what will hard mewing do after bimax are the suture like loose and u will actually see true forward growth? do you think then its best to get bimax with a little forward growth and then just mew to get the "true gains"
