You will be able to squat and deadlift. There are only 3 risks to LL: Nerve damage, bone infection or muscle complications. These 3 are basically non-issues given that you get medical attention from a doctor that knows what they're doing, and you do not overlengthen your legs.

I think there have been studies done (either that, it's anecdotal claims, but either way) about you being able to recover 95 to 99% of your function after limb lengthening surgery. Modern limb lengthening techniques are very safe, and you will recover as long as you stick to the long physical therapy sessions for the 1-2 years that recovery takes.

LL is safe, it's just our outdated misconceptions of it that still tarnish its reputation. If I wasn't already close to 6ft I would 1000% be getting LL.
