In the last 20 years there have been below 5 deaths from raw milk, stfu and stop worrying about random illness that your immune system will prevent if your healthy, so stfu

idk i hate people who think they will ascend from raw milk and raw testicles or sum, but i dont think drinking raw milk is unhealthy actually opposite. I have drinked few litres of it (its expensive inf Finland) but i still prefer pasturized milk, it tastes very weird imo, but i think it has beneficial bacteria etc etc.

@New Poster drank raw milk and ended up Norwood 5. Coincidence? I think not

my mom is a biologist and knows about these things:feelshah: doesnt work on exactly this topic tho, but she said that it has benefits and that she fed me raw milk as a child as it had more good bacteria.

Because those two bacteria cause the same disease (tubercolosis)

My advise is to block them both
St micheals hospital in Toronto, and American journal of children's nutrition, I was mistaken though it only talked about milk not raw milk, but milk is milk at the end of the day

tbh im not interested in drinking raw milk but i find the whole thing to show that its actually "dangerous" kind of silly, because if it is its probably not that bad.

Raw Milk Death Statistics

  • The CDC reports that from 1998 to 2018, raw milk caused 228 outbreaks, leading to 2,645 illnesses, 228 hospitalizations, and 3 deaths in the U.S.
  • This means an average of about 0.15 deaths per year (very rare but possible).
  • Pasteurized milk can also cause outbreaks, but they are much rarer and usually due to post-pasteurization contamination.

The people who drink raw milk: 0.000001% = low death reports

Also most raw milk is not true raw, they still warm it up

by warming it up you mean pasteurization? because thats how it works for regular store milk, they warm it up to 60-80 celsius for couple minutes more or less. just slightly warming it would do absolutely nothing to help kill the bacteria, which is what raw milk actually is

How Many People Drink Raw Milk in the U.S.?

  • A 2018 CDC survey estimated that 3.2% of the U.S. population (about 10 million people) consume raw milk.
  • A 2014 study found that about 3.5% of U.S. adults had consumed raw milk in the past year.
  • The numbers are likely higher in rural areas and among certain communities, such as homesteaders and those following natural or organic diets.

Number of dairy product–associated outbreaks, by year and pasteurization status of product, United States, 1993–2006.

Those infected by consuming raw milk were 13 times more likely to need hospitalization than those consuming pasteurized milk

Unpasteurized milk, consumed by only 3.2% of the population, and cheese, consumed by only 1.6% of the population, caused 96% of illnesses caused by contaminated dairy products. Unpasteurized dairy products thus cause 840 (95% CrI 611-1,158) times more illnesses and 45 (95% CrI 34-59) times more hospitalizations than pasteurized products. As consumption of unpasteurized dairy products grows, illnesses will increase steadily; a doubling in the consumption of unpasteurized milk or cheese could increase outbreak-related illnesses by 96%.

recent data has shown that raw milk or cheese causes 840 times more illnesses and 45 times more hospitalizations than pasteurized dairy
