Long hair or mid-length hair???

I've been wondering. I wanna grow my hair out till like long and get kinda like a flow with a perm. idk which tho mid-legnth hair or long hair. when i say long i mean kinda like this (iblamecaleb in the picture).

mine is pretty straight but i could just get a perm. but my gf tells me not to grow hair so ig not
