It's really normal for ppl to live with parents until they marry or rent a room until they are 30 or just immigrate somewhere else, Lisbon is expensive like 1500 for an ok place, but up north is also like 1100 for one, mind you avg portuguese makes 1200-1500 if they are qualified. This is all the result of overtourism, immigration of digital nomads and other countries, and really strict building and property laws
