Is this the next bubble after AI?

Regeneron pharmaceuticals has blown the fuck up at $982 per share

What are the odds others in the industry will blow up in 5,10,15 years as the tech evolves and gene editing/therapy becomes more mainstream?

Any high IQ cels with some insight?

Two industry that you should be focusing on are companies that are rising with anti aging and neuroregenarative medicine. These are the one that are about to get most highly sought after researchers. One more field that is gonna have big explosion is research related to brain. Since the rise of ai and complex neural network most tech companies like google are looking into animal and human brain to create to simplify chip that are much more lighter and faster to use. U must have seen that google paper on brain that was released in nature about neural complexity in brain or that scanner mri in italy which can scan the brain deeper than any other model.

For brain related one are synchron and obviously neuralink. I will put more into synchron tho. For anti aging and neuroscience you can look out for most that are related to and getting funded by paypal mafia. These are very general choice as i have not made complete list but look out for pharma that are advancing their tech in italy, japan, china and sweden.

There's a lot of exciting stuff happening in the space. One thing I can for sure see becoming a lot more popular within the next decade or so is IVF embryo selection.

All over the world people are having kids at a later age, and fertility problems are becoming a lot more common. IVF is set to become a lot bigger in the next couple of decades as people increasingly have problems conceiving kids naturally.

What's more, due to recent developments in the computational genomics space, we can now accurately predict complex traits like height (to an inch or so accuracy) and to some extent intelligence.

For the most part, due to ethical concerns customers at the current time are only privy to information about embryos that may be carrying some greater disease risk like heightened breast cancer risk in some women due to their genetic profile, and not more controversial traits like height or eye color (even though it's possible).

But I can easily see the countries less concerned with these Western ethical standards to soon welcome companies with this ability, and allow their wealthier citizens to choose embryos that have the most traits to their liking.

Soon enough (in less than 15 years) we'll be able to influence the traits themselves, as we learn more about what role each specific gene contributes to the greater picture, while embryo selection itself becomes cheaper and more accessible.

Here's a video with some more info:

This field is the most obvious no-brainer to invest in, right now.

The only problem is that the companies that are skilled enough to do this as of now are all private and we normal folk can't invest in them.

But the general populous is largely unaware you can predict traits like height, intelligence, and diabetes, with high accuracy already.

Rich parents who are already willing to chunk out tens of thousands to get their kids into good schools will be more than willing to spend a few thousand to significantly lower their children's risk of cancer, diabetes, manletism, or an intellectual deficiency.

Ginkgo Bioworks and CRISPR. Or get an biotech ETF if you want to be a pussy. Ape in and go to sleep. If lucky, maybe it'll take off by 2030. If not >2050. Biological revolution is where the internet was in the 80s.

Failing that, it's not a bad idea to invest in your grandkids future :feelsyay:

If looksmaxxing becomes a solved problem so pretty much anyone can become a chad, I think what will happen is that people will begin to be ranked on more non-physical qualities like intelligence. You might think that’s a good thing until you realize that increasing intelligence through sheer willpower is impossible and people will begin resorting to procedures like this, which I’m guessing will be way more risky than even the most dangerous plastic surgeries like LL. People complaining about looking and having to get surgeries don’t realise how good they have it.
