M13 i have a slight overbite (top front teeth covering half of bottom front teeth yet back teeth align decently) i need help with what to do, im considering braces and if yes what type of braces also give me some softmaxxes and stuff to save me

braces alone shouldnt recess that much (or at all even) however if your overbite is horrible and needs a lot of work, it might feel like your jaw has recessed but thats usually not the case

the only thing that impacts recession is if they go for extractions which you should always be against unless its absolutely necessary

i was thinking, 100% reject extractions and if they recommend them i push for pallete expander. and ask for damian braces and if they want to pull than only pull forward and not backwards

just let them do their job and reject extractions and you should be fine
