I got braces 5 weeks ago. Im 14 and i have an overbite, i couldn't choose what type of braces i could get so dentist gave me classic ones. When asked if they're going to push my bottom teeth forward or pull my top teeth back, he responded " a little bit of both"

Am I getting my maxilla and face in general chopped by them or not?

you're getting basic, standard braces so your face won't get chopped that much. just make sure to eat soft foods and brush properly for optimal results, newfag. typical overbite fix takes a while but you should see some improvement eventually if the dentist knows what they're doing (which is doubtful at 14)
